RD Overheating Protection Thermostat
n heating and ventilating units with electric heaters, double-step thermostats are used as a standard solution to protect the heater. If the heater temperature exceeds the safe level, the contact position is switched in the thermostat to change the corresponding response of the control system: the power is no longer supplied to the heater and the fan operates until the temperature decreases. Additionally, the heater will be restarted only it it detects the air flow.
